There are many different types of Clay Pigeons and Clay Pigeon Traps used to throw them - details below.

Standard Clay Pigeon Trap Standard Clay / Standard Clay Trap

The Standard clay pigeon with a Diameter
 of 110mm and height of 25mm is the most common target used on a sporting clay
 pigeon shooting layout.

This is also the only type of clay used for Skeet and Trap shooting disciplines.

Midi Clay Pigeon Trap Midi Clay Pigeon / Midi Clay Trap

The Midi clay with a Diameter of
90mm and height of 23mm is 
used on a sporting clay pigeon
shooting course only. Can be
deceptive when compared to
a standard clay when the shooter
is trying to judge range and speed.

Battue Clay Pigeon Trap Battue Clay Pigeon / Battue Clay Trap

The Battue clay pigeon with a Diameter
 of 108mm and height of 9mm is 
used on a sporting clay pigeon
shooting course only. This unique
type of clay can be thrown either way
up. Flat as a fast driven target or
upside down offering a fast arcing
bird that only shows its full face for a
brief  period of time.

Rabbit Clay Pigeon Trap Rabbit Clay / Rabbit Clay Trap

The Rabbit clay with a Diameter
 of 110mm and height of 17mm is 
used on a sporting clay pigeon
shooting course only.  The trap
throws the target bouncing along the
 ground simulating ground game.

Chondel Clay Pigeon Trap Chondel Clay Trap / Standard or Midi Clays

The chondel trap will throw a standard
or midi target in a looping arc similar
to but slower than a battue. The clay
remains face on for its full flight
unlike the upside down battue.

This trap can also be used to throw
a rabbit along the ground to a straight
up teal so a very versatile clay trap.

Mini Clay Pigeon Trap Mini Clay Pigeon / Mini Clay Trap

The Mini clay with a Diameter
 of 60mm and height of 21mm is 
used on a sporting clay pigeon
shooting course only.
